I tested the weapons and posted this table on the VTOL VR (BDynamics) Discord server. You could directly add these to the pages, but I'm wondering if there's a more consistent way to test or mine for the data. You could even average these with your results. A page with this as a table would be nice once we're certain of the values, but I dont know if it's possible to auto convert units in a wiki table.
For images, I used https://github.com/Perfare/AssetStudio/releases to extract the game models and view the FBX files in Win10's built in 3D viewer, or something like autodesk's viewer. I wasn't sure what view to standardize things in, or whether to use PNGs and crop things out to a transparent background (easy if the screenshot's BG is completely one color).
Yeah I was planning on doing a lot of testing here in the next few weeks to find out ranges and such and post them to the weapons pages. Obviously this can be confusing as many weapons can be fired at longer ranges than what they are designed for. I think the the real objective quantification of the range will be when the weapon is within designed and inidcated range on the HUD and launch lights.
Yeah I wanted to just get some images for everything to show people. It's crude for sure but I will definitely check into that stuff and maybe get some more consistent isolated photos of the assets without all the forkilfts in the BG.
